Bevolt: Brakson brings its three media brands together under one name

Three outlets, one story

At Brakson, we have been publishing media on electrification since 2008. Automobile Propre covered the electric car back when few people took it seriously, in the days when its forum brought together a handful of early adopters swapping range tips and charging addresses. Cleanrider took on electric two-wheelers in 2015. Révolution Énergétique followed the shift in how households produce and store their own energy.

Three newsrooms, three areas of expertise, three communities  and, over time, one and the same reader asking all three questions at once. Together, these outlets now bring together a community of more than 65,000 engaged members across electric mobility, energy and emerging everyday uses, reaching peaks of up to 8 million combined monthly page views.

On 2 November 2026, Automobile Propre becomes Bevolt, the first step in a consolidation that will bring all three outlets under a single brand.

A scope that reaches well beyond the car

This is not a portfolio tidying exercise. It answers a deeper shift: electrification has stopped being an automotive topic and become an everyday one, where the vehicle, the charge point, the rooftop solar array and the heat pump all belong to the same purchasing decision.

"More than an addition of brands, Bevolt brings together expertise, audiences and already-committed communities to tell the story of a transformation that reaches far beyond the automotive sector alone. From mobility to energy, from charging to the home, from equipment to new everyday uses, Bevolt will cover every dimension of a world in the process of electrifying and that can run on 100% renewable energy," says Yoann Nussbaumer, founder and CEO of the Brakson group.

European ambitions

The goal set for Bevolt is to become, by 2030, Europe's reference point on electrification powered by renewable energy, the first place people turn when they consider going electric, whichever country they are in.

The name carries that ambition. BE for intention; VOLT for the unit of electrical tension. A short name, pronounceable across every European language where "Automobile Propre" remained a strong asset but a strictly French-speaking, and strictly automotive, one.

For the group, Bevolt now stands as the media pillar alongside our charging services businesses: Chargemap, Chargemap Business, Mister EV and Devis Borne de Recharge.

AI as an opportunity, not a shortcut

The transformation we cover is also reshaping our own profession.

"That same logic of transformation applies to our own line of work: artificial intelligence is redefining how information is produced and distributed, and we approach it as one more opportunity to improve, to go further in the field and to remain the media outlet our readers choose," adds Yoann Nussbaumer.

That position is set out in a public charter governing the use of AI across our newsrooms. Its guiding rule: AI can save us time in production, but it replaces neither the road test, nor the fact-check, nor the byline.

What is not changing

The newsrooms, the bylines and the communities all stay in place. Existing links redirect automatically, reader accounts and the forum continue exactly as before. Cleanrider and Révolution Énergétique remain available at their usual addresses until they are integrated.
